Introduction
Apple is all set to launch its new iPhone 17 series this September 2025, and this year we’re getting something completely different — the iPhone 17 Air. Along with the regular iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, the Air model is also expected to be Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever. Let’s take a look at what’s coming, what’s changing, and how much it could cost you.

Launch Date & Pre-Orders
Apple can launch the new iPhone in the first or second week of September. This year, the iPhone 17 series may launch between 8–11 September 2025, and pre-orders will start the same week.
What’s New in iPhone 17 Pro
The iPhone 17 Pro is coming soon with a new look. The rear camera is changing to a horizontal design with three lenses in a triangle shape — a big shift since the iPhone 11 Pro.
The Pro will run on powerful A19 Bionic chip, 12 GB RAM and will run on a new cooling system to keep it fast. The cameras have been upgraded as well — all three rear cameras are 48 MP, which support 8K video recording, and now the front camera has been upgraded to 24 MP for sharper selfies and video calling.
New color options are coming too — including a new orange-copper color!

Meet the New iPhone 17 Air
The iPhone 17 Air is the highlight of this year’s launch. It’s expected to be just 5.5mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone ever. Apple is using a titanium-aluminum mix, so it’s lightweight as well as strong — it weighs just 145 grams.
The Air will have a 6.6-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz for smoother scrolling. But unlike the Pro, it won’t have adaptive refresh or multiple rear cameras — instead, you’ll get a single 48MP rear camera and a sharp 24MP selfie camera.
Battery Life: Smaller but Smarter
Because the Air is so thin, its battery will be small — about 2,800mAh. But Apple plans to add a new Adaptive Power Mode in iOS 26 to help it last all day.
iPhone 17 Series Prices (Expected)
This year, the prices of the iPhone 17 series are expected to increase due to rising production costs and the use of new premium materials. The iPhone 17 Air could be priced around ₹90,000 in India (around $899 in the US, around £849 in the UK, around €1,019 in Europe, AED 3,799 in the UAE, around AUD 1,599 in Australia, around CAD 1,199 in Canada, around CNY 6,499 in China, around JPY 129,800 in Japan and around SGD 1,429 in Singapore). At the same time, the price of iPhone 17 Pro could reach around ₹1,45,000 in India.
Why Prices Are Rising
One reason for the price hike is the use of new premium materials (like titanium) and new chip technology. Another reason is rising production costs and tariffs in China, which is impacting all major tech brands.
Should You Wait?
If you love cutting-edge design, want the thinnest iPhone ever, or need the latest camera technology, the iPhone 17 series is worth a look. But be prepared to pay more than last year.
Stay tuned — Apple will share all the official details this September!
