Breaking: Jagdeep Dhankhar Resigns as Vice President of India

New Delhi: Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from his post. He has said that he now wants to give priority to his health, following the advice of doctors. In a letter sent to President Draupadi Murmu, he wrote that his resignation will come into effect immediately.

Dhankhar clearly stated in his resignation that he is taking this decision under Article 67(A) of the Constitution so that he can take good care of his health and follow medical advice. In his letter, he thanked the President for his unwavering support. He wrote that the experience of working in Rashtrapati Bhavan was very pleasant and inspiring for him.

The Vice President also thanked the Prime Minister and the entire Council of Ministers. He said that the cooperation and support of the Prime Minister was invaluable to him and he has learned a lot during his tenure.

After Dhankhar’s resignation, the process of election of the new Vice President is likely to start soon. According to the Constitution, until the new Vice President is elected, the necessary responsibilities will be fulfilled through interim arrangements.
